Practitioner-Led Residencies

One and two week Subsidised Residencies for professional artists
£595 per week

Residencies are self directed and self funded for all experienced practitioners in visual art, design, music, literature, performance and those working across creative disciplines.

Our residencies provide dedicated time for existing practices and space to develop new work.

The distraction-free environment is designed to help foster introspection and reflection.

You can access support while working here in the form of critiques and mentoring and add on extras to make your stay as supportive as possible.
Cost can sometimes be an issue so our residencies are partially subsidised, but to help further we are happy to make suggestions of how to write us into funding applications such as Arts Council DYCP.

We are particularly interested in accommodating under - represented creatives.

“Alice asks really insightful questions which helped me consider my practice in a different light. As a brilliant practitioner she has so much knowledge to share, while giving me the confidence to develop my art further, without judgement. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend her if you're looking to move forward with your practice” Lisa R, Artist

“I think artists who go on residency make a conscious decision to do so because they are looking for a different way of working, a different opinion, or a different path. The best bit about the The Hide residency for me was the offer of critiques because it felt like someone had my back, someone's observing and someone's helping. Having someone step in and switch you in a different direction or ask a question that you haven't thought to ask yourself, is invaluable, because the questions we ask ourselves are very different from the questions that people will ask of us as an artist.” Rebecca WK, Artist
